The must have games for the iphone

Here are the must have games for the iPhone.
I really like plat-former games.I'm not into adventure titles.So you wont find any gameloft or ngmoco:) in there.

Skip the annoying Slide Down to Unlock screen HTC HERO

Some of us prefer to get to the action right away sans the foreplay :P.
But some companies (Apple/HTC) make it necessary to slide to unlock the phone.
On the iphone it is THE ONLY SCREEN with user customizable image.
but as for the HTC Hero everything is customizable so the slide down to unlock is really not necessary.


One member on Xda-developers noted that if you press "menu" button twice (when the device is in sleep) you directly go to the homescreen.
Not sure if its a bug or something,but the whole point of having an unlocked screen is useless if you ask me.

Got me a 3GS

Got me a 3gs here in India at an insane price of 46,000 rs. (1re=48$ do the math)

and I should say it is def. worth it.
I mean for the number of applications and games on this baby.It is a sure go.
1st off the differences I personally noticed from the 3g
1. Battery life-slightly improved
2.Interface-very very responsive,I have almost 200 apps on my iphone and I have 0 lag moving through the homescreen(s)
3.Apps-load very fast.Almost 4 times faster.I tried starting Sims3 on both 3g and 3gs at the same time and 3gs loaded 2 minutes before the 3g
4.I did not notice much graphics change between openGL graphics in any game yet.They both look the same.Doom Resurrection used to be very laggy on the 3g.on the 3gs there is no lag at all.
5.Everything else is pretty much the same.The device does get heated up from time to time

So closing comment,iphone is not about the phone or the frigging' copy and paste features.
It is about the tons and tons of apps and games available on it,it has also replaced my NDS and PSP.
(pssssttttttt 5th cell , scribblenauts-iphone *hint**hint* ;) )

clear T9 word dictionary in HTC hero

If you are like me you tend to save random words that make no sense from time to time in your T9 dict.
For twice already I performed a hard reset(a.k.a pain in the ass) everytime I wanted to clear the dictionary on the T9 keyboard.





Recently I found an alternative,
Go to settings---> manage applications ---> Touch Input and clear data
your T9 gets reset to the factory settings.

Custom Ringtones for Hero

After hours and hours of searching I finally found how to have custom alerts for my HTC HERO.
Cause I am a heavy sleeper and the alerts HTC originally provides are so low it wakes up the ants around me(Ok,my sarcasm is dying with my age).

TO do this...
Just create a directory called /media/audio/notifications/ on your memory card , put your mp3 in it . After that, the music in this directory will be updated in your notifications menu :).

HTC Hero

Hello everyone,
here is a little update.
GOT ME A FRIGGING' HTC HERO.
as always the initial excitement is always there
but it does not compare to the iphone cause I feel android does not
have the potential to run the games like the iphone.
But its a new mobile OS ,its best to give it a shot.
Knowing the success of GOOGLE in everything else
I am quite sure this should be a hit too :).

Iv been a WM user for 5 yrs but for the last 1 year Iv been hooked to the iphone !

If I had to choose  iphone when it was released 2 yrs back I would have chosen WM 

 but today the iphone is my all purpose phone.it does what my htc diamond does AND MORE

Its been a while since Iv done any skinning !! been busy giving exams

Iv finally got some "My time" for skinning hopefully

There are really good skinners for WA3 these days at LA forums

I doubt anyone would be interested to see a new design from me so will probably work some old timers like Metalloid and Nallega and make em WA3 or something

Yes it is expensive 1,42,000 rs but its money well spent

Review:Flight of the hamster(iphone)

Flight of the hamster is a game which pretty much expects you to not let your hamster hit the ground.By using particular items like the ones shown in the pic

The game play is really addictive and the powerups are randomized everytime you play 

so you cant expect the same score .

Its really difficult to get a score over 3,000 on one flight.My maximum is 2,679 and best flight is 4,752

It only costs .99 cents and its worth more than most of those other overrated games like Toybot diaries

Another thing to note is that the gameplay is very smooth and the graphics make you wanna play it over and over again.Iv several games for the iphone and I must say that this particular one is the most addictive one out of all.

The downside of it is ,its got only one level.It kinda gets repetitive sometimes and the developers(catoon network) could prolly add more powerups in the next version

I would personally recommand this to anyone who like to beat their personnal best scores from time to time and not get bored by repetitive gameplay
